The Astronaut Farmer

The Astronaut Farmer tells the story of a retired NASA employee, who builds his own rocket and wants to launch it into “deep” space (orbit around Earth). It is a touching story, although it Michael Polish takes the touching way too far. It feels more like a oh-they’re-so-happy movie for making people dream the American Dream. It doesn’t really give anything to the audience.

Certain details also detract from the overall impression of The Astronaut Farmer. For example, the NASA engineer Charles Farmer (Billy Bob Thornton) is surprised by a very basic phenomenon, which will most certainly irritate you if you decide to watch this movie.

Code Name: The Cleaner: A Confusing Waste of Time

The start of Code Name: The Cleaner is the perfect set-up for any action/thriller movie. However, director Les Mayfield effectively wastes the idea by by following the introduction with a series of nonsensical scenes, giving to audience zero change for any prediction. According to IMDb this is a comedy, although I could not find anything remotely funny with the attempts at entertaining an audience from elementary school. Throwing cleaning-devices? Come on.

Just skip Code Name: The Cleaner. It is a waste of time, despite actors like Nicollette Sheridan and Lucy Liu.
