About Tim

My name is Tim Johansson, and I’m the admin of timjoh.com. Since I’m unfortunately not the only Tim Johansson out there, though, I prefer Tim A. Johansson. That extra letter makes me seem professional, too. I’m a 17 years old Swede, who’s been living in Sweden for his whole life.

I started web developing somewhat seriously in 2003, when I bought the domain gurka.se, which hosted various projects. With my discovery of Google AdSense, I started studying more about web development. Realizing that my potential Swedish audience wasn’t nearly as big as my English one, I decided to start this blog — the Timblog — in the twelth of July, 2006. Only time will tell how this project unfolds.

Of course, I appreciate any constructive criticism. If you want to contact me, don’t hesitate to send an email to tim at gurka dot se. You can also reach me on IRC, where I reside as Timm on EFnet.

  1. Why “tim at gurka dot se” and not “tim@gurka.se”? :S

  2. Aki: Because it tricks spiders searching for email addresses. I guess you ruined it all anyway now.

  6. George Hurst: In Basic Web 4, you shouldn’t change the code there. Copy the source code, and create your own copy of it (in e.g. notepad).

  10. well, i agree with the last comment… i’ve tried it and it happens the same thing. what i do is to: save the page, then edit the source code by changing the type=”hidden” to “text” and i save the changes to my computer. after that i open the saved page again and i put my e-mail address and click on “send password to sam” and then it’s when the message “Need to be Authed to use this page” appears. What have i done wrong?

  12. Adam, I might bring myself to writing tutorials for the realistic missions, too, some time. The only general advice that I can give on the realistic missions is to really read the source code, over and over. The solution is almost always in faulty server-side implementations, and so you should try to send unexpected values to the server.

  18. Hello Tim,

My name is Marc Chassot, I live in Switzerland, I play dongeon and dragon too. From what I understand, you did a great job, creating a database with all rules, spells items…

Currently I have the project to do a memorization interface to help players with their spells. Would it be possible for you to export your database and send it to me? I am especially interested in spells, mainly from the players handbook 3.5 but if you can export the whole database I am sure I will be able to developp much more.

Of course I will send you a copy of the code I would develp based on your database if you are interested.

    Kind Regards

Marc (marcchassot at gmail dot com)
