<description>I was trying to install GD module through CPAN and faced the problem of unmet dependencies --namely libgd. When I turned to apt-get, I got:

The following packages have unmet dependencies:
libgd-perl: Depends: libgd-gd1-perl (= 1.41-13) but it is not going to be installed

When I tried to install the above dependency using apt-get, I got:

The following packages have unmet dependencies:
libgd-gd1-perl: Depends: perlapi-5.8.8

Now, the version of Perl I am running is 5.10.0.

Does anyone have any ideas as to how to solve this problem.

Thanks in advance.</description>
