Succubus: Hell Bent: Stupid Demon “Facts”

Succubus: Hell Bent has a quite simple plot, and little character development. However, there is a nice atmosphere and the same tone is kept throughout the movie.

What really irritated me was the demon-hunting. It’s fine that Lilith is supernatural, and that the demon-hunter was a little weird, but what about a demon-hunter who doesn’t have a clue about how to kill or banish demons?

Garlic? I thought that was for vampires. A gun with silver bullets? That’s for lycanthropes. The regular crossbow? No comment. It surprises me that he didn’t recommend seducing the succubus. Also, the movie states that a succubus is a weaker form of the incubus.

Don’t watch this movie if you’ve ever played any fantasy game including demons; it will drive you mad.

  1. Hi Tim ;)
I see the cast at imdb and I dont know any actor/actress. I like to see familiar faces but it isn’t a problem if is there is not. I have played Vampite: the Mascarade™, Werewolf: The Apocalypse™, Mage: The Awakening™, Changeling: The Dreaming™, Hunter: The Reckoning™ and Demon: The Fallen™. So.. yes, I had played fantasy games. he he he. Because of this I have a particular vision of this topic. And I face them with certain criticistm.
    D’oh! I wrote a lot. I’ll follow your advice.
PS: White Wolf should had won the trial against Sony Pictures on the Underworld trial.
    Sorry for the Offtopic. ;-)

  2. Hi, Ordago. I don’t look at all for actors that I know, actually. The only point that I can see in it is that the actors by participating recommend the movie, but I don’t feel like I have the time to bother about it. The only “real” roleplaying games I’ve played are Dungeons & Dragons and the Swedish “Drakar och demoner”, and none of them have succubi similar to the one depicted in the movie. If you are firm in your beliefs, though, you can watch the movie without getting affected ;)

As to WW/Sony, I’ve neither played the WoD games nor seen Underworld, so I’m not the person to judge, but I’m all against big corporations ripping smaller ones off. Sony isn’t too high on my trust-list, either.
