WordPress Plugin: Favicon Head

Favicon Head is a simple way to automatically include correct tags for linking to your favicon in the head of every page in your blog. No file editing is required, you only have to upload the file to the plugin directory and activate it. The default favicon location is favicon.ico, but can be changed through the options page.

Download and Install

  • Download Favicon Head 1.1.
  • Unzip the file and upload it to wp-content/plugins/.
  • Click the “Plugins” tab in the WP admin panel and activate Favicon Head.
  • Go to the “Options” tab and click the “Favicon Head” sub-page in order to change the favicon location from /favicon.ico.

  6. Paranoid android: Welcome. I haven\’t tried that, but it shouldn\’t, since this plugin only adds two meta tags to your blog\’s pages. Unless the feeds are clever enough to do that for themselves, that is. If you know about any favicon tag to add in the RSS files, let me know about it and I\’ll gladly enhance this plugin.

  19. Thanks, it worked, sorta. Doesn’t show up in IE, and in Firefox it’s shifted to a horrible green color (the original is b&w). Not sure this has anything to do with your plugin of course, it might be some other issue.

    The plugin is very nice… It is simple and do we need more?
    I just added animated icons capability to the code and I use it on my
